Fairplex coordinates bus drop-off and parking on a per-event basis. For most major events — including the LA County Fair and the NHRA races at the adjacent Auto Club Raceway — charter buses use Gate 17 at 1801 W. McKinley Ave as the primary oversized vehicle entrance, with bus and RV parking directed to designated lots on the east side of the property off Fairplex Drive. Drop-off for general admission events typically happens near Gate 3 on McKinley Avenue.
Because gate and lot assignments shift by event, advance coordination is required — contact Fairplex Guest Services at (909) 623-3111 before your visit to confirm the active bus entrance and parking lot for your specific event. Parking costs are not included in any rental quote from this site.
For accessible arrivals, buses use the ADA drop-off and pickup zone at the Sheraton Fairplex Hotel at Gate 3 off McKinley Avenue; the Fairplex accessibility page gives the exact access point.
Charter buses drop off passengers at the curb on South Garey Avenue directly in front of the Pomona Fox Theater. There is no dedicated charter bus parking lot at or adjacent to the theater. After drop-off, buses typically stage in the City of Pomona public parking structure at 191 W 2nd St, which is approximately a 3-minute walk from the venue entrance.
On show nights, downtown Pomona street parking fills quickly — a bus eliminates the parking scramble entirely and puts your group at the door. Confirm current event-night guidance at foxpomona.com before your visit.
If anyone in your group needs accessible parking, the nearest public lots with ADA stalls are on Third Street, one block east and west of the theater; Metrolink's Downtown Pomona Station at 101 W. First St. is also two blocks away. The theater's Fox Theater Pomona directions and parking page maps those access points.
Auto Club Raceway at Pomona is co-located with Fairplex and shares its road network. Charter buses and oversized vehicles enter via Fairplex Drive. Drop-off zones and bus parking lot assignments are coordinated through NHRA and Fairplex event operations on a per-event basis — the Winternationals (February) and the Finals (November) each have their own staging plan.
Contact the raceway directly at (909) 593-7010 or NHRA at (626) 250-2742 well in advance to confirm the designated bus drop-off zone and parking lot for your event. General vehicle parking runs $20–$40 depending on the event; oversized vehicle lots must be arranged in advance and are separate from standard car parking. These costs are not included in any rental quote from this site.
NHRA event dates are among the highest-demand bus weekends in the Inland Empire — book 4–6 months out.
Bonelli Bluffs Recreation Area, on the eastern edge of Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park, is accessed via Via Verde off San Dimas Avenue. Charter buses enter through the main day-use entrance on Via Verde, where a designated parking area for oversized vehicles is located near the ranger station. The day-use fee applies per vehicle — buses pay the standard vehicle rate of $6–$12 and that cost is not included in any rental quote from this site.
For large group visits, advance reservations are strongly recommended; contact LA County Parks at (909) 599-8411 to confirm current access and group procedures. The Bonelli Bluffs trail system is popular for school field trips, corporate team-building outings, and outdoor recreation groups — one bus keeps your entire group together from the trailhead to the parking lot.
Cal Poly Pomona (3801 W Temple Ave, Pomona, CA 91768) has a dedicated charter bus and motorcoach loading and unloading zone on University Drive near the Bronco Student Center. Buses that need to park on campus for an extended visit must obtain a campus parking permit through Parking & Transportation Services at (909) 869-3341 or at cpp.edu/parking. Day permits for oversized vehicles run approximately $10–$12.
For commencement (May–June) and other large campus events, advance coordination with Parking & Transportation Services is required, as event-specific bus lots are assigned separately from standard visitor parking. The main visitor entrance is off Temple Avenue at Gate 1. Confirm current permit rates and lot assignments at cpp.edu/parking before your visit.
Charter buses enter Frank G. Bonelli Regional Park via Via Verde off San Dimas Avenue. The main parking lot near the ranger station at the entrance has oversized vehicle spaces where buses can drop off passengers and park during the visit. The day-use vehicle fee of $6–$12 applies to buses and is not included in any rental quote from this site.
Groups visiting the adjacent Raging Waters water park should note that Raging Waters has its own separate entrance and parking lot off Via Verde — confirm with the park which entrance your group needs before arrival. For large group visits to Bonelli Regional Park, advance reservations are strongly recommended; call LA County Parks at (909) 599-8411.
For most Pomona trips, booking three to six months in advance gives you the best vehicle selection and pricing. For the highest-demand dates in the Pomona market, book even earlier. The NHRA Winternationals (February) and NHRA Finals (November) at Auto Club Raceway are the two peak bus-demand events in the Inland Empire — book 4–6 months out for either.
The LA County Fair at Fairplex (late August through late September) draws over a million visitors and fills the Pomona bus market fast — book 3–6 months in advance. Prom season (April–May) across Pomona Unified, Claremont, Diamond Bar, and Walnut school districts is another crunch period. Waiting until the last minute means higher rates and limited availability.
